Charles was very angry but he controlled himself. He picked up his car keys and drove to Ekaette's house. As Ekaette saw him, she welcomed him with a hug and a smile, helped him remove his jacket, asked for what he would eat and went to the kitchen to prepare a feast.
Ekaette watched Charles as he ate and she knew she had the man's heart even though he was not her husband, she realised that the man craved respect and as long as he didn't get that at home, he would always come back to her.
Proverbs 14:1 (NLT) says: A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.
The woman is largely responsible for the success of a marriage or otherwise. If a woman does not want the marriage or relationship to work, it will never work.
Men crave one thing more than money, it is RESPECT! If you are in the habit of constantly disrespecting your husband or fiancee, you are digging a grave for that relationship and you will gradually push him into the hands of a woman who respects him.
Men can survive without money or clothes or a job but no man can survive without respect! Just like women crave security, men crave respect. When you respect a man, it is proof that you love him, so whenever you want to show love to your man, respecting and honouring him both at home and outside the home is how to prove it. May God help us all.
