George could hear the lorry drive into his compound, his wife was crying and his son was asking questions.
George had been doing business with the Merchant Bank for 10 years and it had been a mutually beneficial relationship but the last business was a failure, he had used his house as collateral but he defaulted on his loan and the bank was moving in to repossess his house. They would sell the house and give him the balance after they removed whatever he owed.
George went to his room and locked the door, he remembered how he has started his shipping business, he found favour with a stranger who gave him the capital to start and anytime he was stranded, God had always shown up. He began to ask himself the following questions; has God failed me before? Have I ever been put to shame whenever I trust in God? The answers to the questions were a solid NO!
Faith began to rise up in George and he began to praise God for His faithfulness, He began to thank God for all of the times He had saved his business from ruin in the past. He was so lost in praise and worship that he did not hear his phone ring until his wife banged on the door.
The manager of the Merchant Bank wanted to see him, George went downstairs and exchanged pleasantries. The manager sympathised with George and also let him know that he had monitored his business over the years, he then confided in George that he had some money he had been saving and that if George was willing, they could become partners and he would offset the loan.
George could not believe his ears but he composed himself,he asked the manager to spare him some minutes and then he tried to walk as steadily as he could and went to meet his wife, he told her what the manager said and they agreed that it was a good offer.
George and the manager became business partners and the business soared to greater heights.
Beloved what is that situation that looks hopeless? If God has ever been faithful to you in the past this is the moment to remember it and count on God's faithfulness.
David said in 1 Samuel 17:37 (NLT)
The LORD who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!"
David was a 17 year old boy who was about to fight a warrior who was over 7 feet tall and all the evidence he had was that if God had saved him in the past, He was able to do it again!
Don't ever speak any word of fear till your miracle reaches you, keep saying the same thing, you may be sick in your body but keep declaring that God is your Healer, you may be facing financial challenges but keep declaring that God is your Provider, you may be facing problems that you don't understand but keep declaring that God will sort it out!
God's faithfulness in the past is your deposit, it is the cheque with which you can cash today's miracle, it's the ATM pin to withdraw today's testimony. If He did it before, He can do it again and again and again and again! He is the Lord, He does not change! He is the same, yesterday, today and forever! Bank on God! You CANNOT be put to shame!
