Rachel had seen it all, nobody would believe the story behind the seductive blue eyes and beautiful body that men saw. At 14 she was raped by her step father Raymond and when she told her mum, she beat her and almost killed her, her mum accused her of seducing her husband. Raymond did not stop: by the time Rachel was 15, she had her first abortion and after that, she ran away from home, she swore she would never return.
It was while trekking at the middle of nowhere that she met Nancy who offered her a lift, Nancy was very nice to Rachel, she gave her beautiful clothes and shared her apartment but it was an illusion; Nancy started touching her in the middle of the night and Rachel slapped her. Nancy threw her out that night.
It was a cold dark night, there were no street lights, only some houses had their security lights on and all she had on was a t shirt and a pair of jeans with her bag of clothes. She cried so much that night, why did the world hate her so much? As she was trying to look for a corner to lay her head, she saw a truck coming and she waited, it was the police, she was happy, she would ask for help.
When they got to where she was, they got out of the car and threatened to shoot her if she did not get into the SUV. They took her to the station, accused her of being a prostitute and took turns raping her. She could not cry any longer, she lay there like a piece of wood but from that moment on, she made up her mind to protect herself from the world; she would use her beauty and her body.
That was over 10 years ago, she was now 26 years old and she had been a mistress to all the men that mattered, she had dated presidents, ministers and billionaire businessmen. They all adored her and wanted to marry her, none of them knew anything about her past but even then, she wasn't interested in all these sexually starved old men.
She had gone to a concert and Williams; a charming young man had asked to dance with her, he was such a gentleman, so polite, softly spoken, a powerful sense of humor,a good christian and a man with a bright future.
For the first time in her life, Rachel fell in love but when she remembered her past, she knew she had no hope. He was too good for her, he would run away from her if he had any idea of her past.
She started avoiding him but he was relentless, he brought so much joy and happiness into her life, she had never been that valued, she didn't know there were men like Williams. What shocked her the most was that he promised not to sleep with her until they married. He took her to church every Tuesday and Sunday and she began to know God.
She knew she had to tell him about her past and one evening while they were having dinner, she told him everything. She expected him to stand up and leave but he had tears in his eyes and suddenly he brought out a box and proposed to her. Williams and Rachel have been married for 5 years and they have 2 beautiful children.
I don't know what your past is but God will send you a man, don't try to lie about your past, open up to him. If he is the man God sent to you, he will be able to handle your past. Any man who cannot handle your past does not belong in your future.
The bible says in Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansingb her by the washing with water through the word, 27and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
One of the major roles of a God sent man is to purify you and move you closer to God. Whatever it is you have done in the past would be very insignificant in comparison to his love for you. He knows his future cannot start without you and he will not be a complete man without you by his side.
Don't hide your past, tell him everything! Your honesty and sincerity is a seed that God will honour when he sends you the right man.
