"Jonathan watch out!!!!" King Saul screamed, Jonathan turned but it was too late, two philistines attacked him from different angles and plunged their swords at his side and neck, his father's screaming voice was the last thing he ever heard.
King Saul was filled with rage and he threw all caution to the wind. He wanted to kill all the philistines at once, he struck down two soldiers with his sword at the same time but as he struck the 3rd one, an arrow hit him, then another , they fired seven arrows at him, he could barely move, he saw the philistine soldiers approach. He called his armour bearer and said " Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. The armour bearer could not kill his master so King Saul fell on his own sword and died.
King Saul was a disobedient king and God was angry with him but he knew that it was a curse for him to die before the ungodly, he would rather commit suicide, the 'uncircumcised' mean the ungodly; those who do not fear Jehovah like we do.
Before David fought Goliath, he said in 1 Samuel 17:26b (KJV) for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?
Ladies and gentlemen, your results should be different from people who do not serve and fear the Most High God, you may go through a process but your results will eventually be better. You should never die like chicken or fall before your enemies, it is an abomination! David wept over Saul in 2 Samuel 1:21 (KJV) Ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil.
As a child of God there's an anointing on your life that makes it impossible for people to cheat you or mistreat you for long or for you to fall before your enemies, anyone who has ever oppressed you will end up paying for it, as a child of the Most High, the number of your challenges are the number of your victories. You will always laugh last and you will always win. Let that be your confidence in whatever you are facing, your victory is certain!
Chin up and walk with that confidence, let the devil throw his best shots at you, you will win! Just like it is in the DNA of a lion to roar, just like it's in the DNA of an eagle to soar, it is in your DNA to win!
