"Please give me cold pure water". Donald was sweating profusely under the hot sun, he had been job hunting everyday for the past 6 months but he wasn't making any progress.
What could be wrong? He had been praying and sowing seeds yet he couldn't find a job, he got back home frustrated, he began to think about what he could do not to stay idle, he didn't just want to sleep and wake up every morning without doing anything. He made up his mind to create a job for himself if he couldn't find a job.
Donald was a good photographer; that was the love of his life but he always believed that he could never make good money taking pictures, he did not believe that he could be paid for what he enjoyed doing but at the moment, he had no choice than to keep himself busy.
Donald started by taking pictures for his friends who were getting married, he charged them way below the competition so they had no choice than to patronise him. People started discovering that his work was very good and his clientele grew. One of his friends whom he covered his wedding some years ago became a special assistant to a governor and recommended him. Today, Donald is the official photographer of the governor.
The bible says in Proverbs 22:29 Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.
You cannot be skilled in a work you don't enjoy. What is that thing that makes you come alive? Do it! You may think it won't pay the bills but I tell you that excellence is a currency that can change your world. One of the richest men in the world manufactures chocolates; Mars Chocolate!
You must also be conscious of God's covenant, you carry the solution, stop going from pillar to post, the things God has put in you is more lucrative than crude oil!
Don't look down on your talents and gifts, the songs you are singing in the shower could be best sellers if you go to a studio, the jokes you crack in front of your friends could bring you millions of Naira.
God has promised to bless the work of your HANDS, it means the ideas and products that come out of you have God's blessings on them! Go to the studio, publish that book, let people know you can cook, volunteer to take pictures at that wedding.
Michael Jackson had a voice and a body that he trained to sing and dance and we have not recovered from his impact , Oprah Winfrey knew how to make people talk and she became the richest woman in the world. You could be the next big thing! Jesus said you are the light of the world, turn on your light, it is in you, you will shine!
