"Jide my guy, I hear say you don turn pastor nawa o, na to de chop tithe and offering remain". Jide looked at his old school mate Obi and smiled.
It was their ten year reunion since they had left the university. Jide had become a very anointed and successful man of God, his friends had also done quite well for themselves.
As Jide finished talking to Obi, another of his classmates Femi passed and when Femi saw Jide, he froze and bowed "haa Pastor Jide it's such a honor to see you here today, I didn't know I would run into you I would have prepared a prophet's offering but give me a minute sir".He dashed to his car and returned with N100,000. "I watch you on TV all the time and your ministry has been a blessing to me, this money is the least I could do to support your ministry"
Jide was surprised, he and Femi had been room mates till they left school, he was amazed at the humility and the level of honor. Jide prayed with Femi and said "my brother, God bless you and I pray that He will multiply this seed for you, may money begin to look for you"
Just as Jide finished praying, Femi's phone rang, he had just been awarded a 10 million Naira contract he had been chasing for 3 years. He was so excited.
Ladies and gentlemen, if you are one of those people who sit down to criticize men of God whenever you have the opportunity, we cannot be friends but if you are wise enough to understand that God has stopped coming down from heaven and He will use men to accomplish whatever He wants to do in your life then you are very smart and I will appreciate if you listen to me.
The way you receive a man of God is important. There is one thing you must do and it is to RECOGNIZE that he is a man of God, the anointing you RECOGNIZE is the anointing that works for you. A recognized anointing stirs your faith and creates an atmosphere for miracles.
If you check through the ministry of Jesus, phenomenal miracles happened when people recognized the anointing of Jesus. Matthew 14:35 (NIV) 35When the people RECOGNIZED Jesus, the news of his arrival spread quickly throughout the whole area, and soon people were bringing all their sick to be healed. 36They begged him to let the sick touch at least the fringe of his robe, and all who touched him were healed.
Jesus wanted to be sure that His disciples recognized who He was so He asked them in Matthew 16:13 (KJV) "Who do men say that I , the Son of Man, am?" After they had given various answers, He asked again in verse 15 "But who do you say I am?"
Peter was the one who RECOGNISED who Jesus was, he said "You are Christ, the Son of the Living God!" We all know the story, Peter's life changed forever from that moment.
Could it be that your miracle is pending because you don't recognize and celebrate the anointing of the man of God in your life? You go to church 3 times a week and still come out to say nasty things and gossip about him. You cannot attract the anointing you don't respect. Change your ways! When you change for the better EVERYTHING around you will also change for the better. May God help us all in Jesus name.
