Be A Man!

Sophia took one look at Felix and licked her lips, this man was definitely eye candy. He was 6 foot 4 with six packs, his hair was in dreads and he had the most hypnotic eyes she had ever seen. She was staring at him so bad that he finally caught on and he winked at her. She quickly withdrew her eyes but she had butterflies in her stomach already. He was definitely a bad boy and a heart breaker but she was tripping for him.

"That is an amazing bag you are carrying, is that the latest Hermes bag from the summer edition?" Sophia blushed, she was in flatter heaven, a man that knew his designer labels was a keeper. They talked for a while and Sophia found out Felix was a very intelligent man with lots of dreams although she couldn't figure out what he was doing for money at the moment. 

Sophia and Felix saw every other day, Felix didn't have a job at the moment but Sophia was made, she was also from a very wealthy family.

 Six months later, Felix popped the question and Sophia was beside herself with joy. She screamed "Yes Yes Yes!" The wedding was the talk of the town and Sophia could not believe her good fortune. Felix was everything except  that he relied on her for money. She felt all of that would change with time.

A year after marriage, Felix was still jobless, all he did from morning till night was watch TV, play games and dress up for events. Sophia was frustrated and that was when the fight started, she finally realized that Felix simply had a sweet mouth and an attractive body but he was a go nowhere; he was a leech that latched himself on successful women and made a living out of them. 

Two years later, the marriage was over, Felix was back to dressing up and attending parties while Sophia was heartbroken.

If you are one of those men who rely on women financially and are scouting for successful women you can seduce and who will take care of your every need, then you are pathetic and a poor excuse of a man. You have no idea what it means to be a man and may all the women you plan to deceive catch you and disgrace you.

The bible says in 1 Timothy 5:8 (NIV) 

Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

I don't care how spiritual you are, if you cannot provide for your family, the bible says you are worse than an unbeliever. The man is a PROVIDER, it is the anointing that God has put on the life of every man. 

A man may not have much when he is single but the moment he gets married, money comes to take care of his family because the bible says that he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor.  You will have challenges and the days of squatting with people and even sleeping with your mattress on the floor, those are the days of little beginnings but the number of your challenges will be the number of your victories. 

You must acknowledge that anointing and it will start producing for you.There is a grace God has released on you to take care of your family and if there is lack in your family, there is something wrong, you need to go back to God. It is a shame and disservice to rely on your wife for everything.

The word 'husband' is from the Old Norse word 'husbondi' which is a composition of 2 words 'house' and 'bond' which means a 'householder'. The word 'father' in Hebrew means 'abba' which is translated as 'source'. Thus, a man is the one who holds the family together and the one who is the source of provisions. 

The number one thing that tampers with the anointing of a husband and father is illicit sex; adultery and fornication. Stay away from these sins and you will be fine. 

Take time out and cry to God, He created you to be a provider and the head. May God always send us help to provide for our families in Jesus name. Amen.
