Richard discovered a secret; he realized he could hear God more when he banished every distraction, when his phones were not ringing and when they weren't many people around. He used his time alone with God to hear God and download divine ideas and strategies, that was how he became a billionaire at 35.
There is a profound scripture in the bible and its in Genesis 32:24 (NIV)
So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak.
You will never see a greater dimension of God until you make the conscious effort to be alone with God, there must be times when you switch off your phones and lock your door or go somewhere without distractions just to pray and listen to the Holy Spirit.
These moments are priceless, God reveals things to you, He may start telling you about your future or certain things you are not doing properly but the truth is you never remain the same because God loves it when we focus on Him.
You can make it a weekly or monthly thing to just switch off your phones and go somewhere quiet just to pray and read the word. The bible tells us in Luke 5:16 (NIV) But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.
If it was one of the secrets of Jesus, why won't you have a time when it's just you and God? Make up your mind to connect to God on a deeper level this year and everything around you will change.
