- "I, David, take you Florence, to be my wife to have and to hold from this day forward; for better or for worse; for richer, for poorer; in sickness and in health; to love and to cherish from this day forward until death do us part."
As simple as these words look, they are a VOW, another word for vow is covenant. In Yoruba, it is called 'imule' there are always repercussions for breaking a vow or covenant.
Wherever in the world this vow is being made, God is present that's why the bible said in Malachi 2:14 (NLT) You cry out, "Why doesn't the LORD accept my worship?" I'll tell you why! Because the LORD WITNESSED the VOWS you and your wife made when you were young. But you have been unfaithful to her, though she remained your faithful partner, the wife of your marriage VOWS.
Ladies and gentlemen while all you could see were family members and friends, God himself and angels were there as witnesses. From that day on, God began to study you closely to see if you would keep to the words you said on that day.
If you have been faithful to your marriage vows, you can expect the blessing of God, things may even be tough at the moment but God will honor you. If you have been unfaithful, expect God's wrath.
The most dangerous woman in the word is a faithful and prayerful wife, please don't offend or maltreat that kind of woman, God will deal with you! You may feel you are having the time of your life right now but your end will be bitter.
May God teach us to live according to His word in Jesus name. Happy Easter everyone.
