A few years back,The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA) was a church for the youths now those young men and women have grown up and are now raising families of their own. This Sunday, eight babies were dedicated. Baby dedications stand out for me because procreation is a miracle and the wise will know the importance of thanksgiving and giving these children back to God. Others may focus on the increase in finances that a new baby brings but the wise will be grateful for the preservation of life for both mother and child.
Some women go into the labor ward and they don't come back alive, some women go in and both mother and child don't come back alive, some women go in and only the child comes back alive but if you are blessed enough to come back alive with your baby, you ought to give thanks to God. Brother Tayo Fatogun, who presided over the baby dedication made a profound statement which he credited to Rev, Biodun Fatoyinbo and it goes thus 'whatever you dedicate to God does not decay'. We pray that all these children will grow in wisdom and stature and God will be their refuge and help.
