"Good morning Simon, what church do you attend? I will like to become a member, come to the house on Sunday so we can go together".
Simon was shocked, he was a junior staff in his company and his Executive Director was one of the most influential people in the world yet he wanted to attend his church. He had been praying for him but he never thought his ED would ever want to attend his church.
Later, the ED told him that he had observed Simon for years, how he would pray when he got to the office every morning and the good will and peace he promoted amongst staff members. The ED concluded that Simon was a wise man and he wanted to have more friends and people around him like Simon.
When the altar call was made, Simon's boss was the first to step out to his amazement. The ED became a full member of Simon's church and Simon also got promoted to a management position at the office. The company also began to reach greater heights.
Many people may not go to church every Sunday or care much about God but your lifestyle should be what attracts them to God. Do people hate Christians because of your behaviour or do people want to draw closer to God? Let your life glorify God, you are the bible many people are reading, they are studying you intently, they want to know if it pays to serve God!
1 Thessalonians 1:7-10 (MSG) says Do you know that all over the provinces of both Macedonia and Achaia believers look up to you? The word has gotten around. Your lives are echoing the Master’s Word, not only in the provinces but all over the place. The news of your faith in God is out. We don’t even have to say anything anymore—you’re the message!
Let your life be a message, let your life proclaim the gospel, let your conduct bring more people to God. May we all receive the grace to be exemplary in Jesus name.
