Suraju sat under the bridge and smoked his marijuana in short, deep puffs. This was his last wrap and he needed to go and hustle money to buy more wraps and also to pay Sule his dealer.
All he did everyday was to watch out for vulnerable people he could manhandle and rob of their phones and jewellery. As he was observing passersby, he saw a lady open the door to a wine GLA 2015 Mercedes Benz. He waited a while to see that she was alone, he began to smile;God had sent him his daily bread.
He thought of the best way to get her scared; he would first of all slap her, she looked so fresh, he doubted if anyone had slapped her before, he would give her the "igbaju oloyi" (cover slap). He laughed to himself, the last victim he gave the slap pissed on herself.
He stood up and put some bounce in his step, he was close to the vehicle when he suddenly shouted "yeeee" somebody slapped him from the back,he felt his jaw shift and he spat out a tooth with blood and saliva. He had never been slapped that way before and as he turned around, he saw a giant, he did not know that human beings could be that huge.
The man asked him what he wanted to do and he quickly lied that he was a load carrier. All the while, the lady did not know what was going on, it was Suraju's cries that caught her attention. She chided her bodyguard for being too harsh on someone who was just a load carrier and then out of pity, she gave Suraju N500 to help her carry all the goods she bought from the market.
The bible says in Proverbs 16:7 (ESV) When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
People are not at peace with you in your office, in your business and in your family because they just like your face, many have tried to harm you and God has slapped them that's why they are at peace with you! The devil is an oppressor, even if you don't look for his trouble, he will look for your trouble but he knows that touching you is touching God so he keeps away from you.
The devil said about Job in Job 1:9-10 (NIV) Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10“Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has?
Beloved, God has put a hedge around you that is why the devil cannot touch you. He tries to make you fear by bringing bad dreams and whispering bad thoughts but the truth is if the devil could touch you, he would have done so already! Stop believing those dreams! Believe what the word says that "No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn" Isaiah 54:17 (NASB)
God has said about you in Numbers 23:23 (NLT) No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel.
Be confident that God is with you and any plans of the enemy will fail. God has put an automatic back to sender on you. He said in Genesis 12:3 (NIV) I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse;
Know for certain that "you de kampe" you belong to the Most High God, you are untouchable!
