Pray!

Cynthia walked into the office of the director for finance. She had met him at a lecture and she made sure she got his complimentary card. She desperately needed a job and she had tried many times to reach him but she couldn't so she came to his office.
"Good morning, I will like to see the director". The receptionist looked at her and smiled. "Good morning, what's your name and is the director expecting you?". Cynthia informed her that the director was not expecting her. Thereceptionist replied in a very professional voice "I am sorry, you will not be able to see the director, you cannot see him without booking an appointment."
Cynthia decided to try the director's number one more time and this time, he picked the call. She introduced herself and told him that she was at the receptionist's office. The next thing that happened was that the receptionist got a call from the director and Cynthia was sent in, the director reviewed her qualifications and then gave her a job.
Many times in life, we are focusing on man to help us rather than to focus on the God of Man. Cynthia could have been begging the receptionist all day if she didn't have the number of the director. God's phone number is in Matthew 7:7 (ESV) “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Many times, we like activity, because it makes us feel like we are doing something to get us closer to our answered prayers but your results will amaze you if you sit still in God's presence and let Him give you a winning strategy.
The bible says in Psalm 121:1-2 (ESV) I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
2My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth.
Ladies and Gentlemen, man cannot help you if God has not helped you. Thus, your first reaction to any problem is not who you can call or run to, your first reaction is to pray! Settle it in the place of prayer then step out! Direction, wisdom and favour will come.
What is it that you are planing to do this week? Have you prayed about it? Your refusal to pray is proof that you are proud. You believe you don't need God and you can sort it out on your own. You may say "oh I never thought about it that way" that's what it is when you don't pray. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don't lean on your own understanding, in ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path (Proverbs 3:5).
Don't leave your bed without talking to the God of Man, He will let men help you and grant you favour.
