"Haa, thank God she is awake! Doctorrrr! Doctor ohhh" Jennifer opened her eyes and tried to get up, her head and shoulders hurt. Why was she on a hospital bed? Why was her mum screaming? All of a sudden, it came back to her; she was rushing to the office and she was on top speed when her phone rang. She wanted to see who was calling and she took her eyes off the road, the next thing she saw was a huge truck and after that, everything went black.
The greatest tragedies in life can be traced to distractions. A married man who noticed the hot legs of his secretary and started an affair that led to the break up of his marriage, the university student who was sent to school to study but got involved in cultism and was killed before he could graduate. The secondary school girl who dropped out of school because she got pregnant.
Distractions are deadly! Take a minute to think about the things that have been a major source of distraction in your life. Who is that friend that always makes you spend the money you wanted to save? Who is that guy/ girl that's always coming back to beg you when you want to move on and then he/she misbehaves again?
Apostle Paul said in Philipians 3:13 (NLT) No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I #focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead...
Make up your mind to banish anything and anyone that is a source of distraction to the goals you have set for yourself in 2015. This is your year of results and major achievements. May God help us all.
