When You Are Down To Nothing...

"Honey its 2am please go to bed, don't kill yourself over this matter, God will sort it out" Henry didn't answer her because he was lost in thoughts.
Henry was a businessman dealing in spare parts, his business had moved from bringing in cargoes to bringing in a whole ship. Henry used his business to promote the Gospel and he would tell anyone who cared to listen that he had never taken a loan, God always met his needs.

A week ago, Henry got a call that his ship had capsized and all the goods were lost but thankfully nobody died. Henry wanted to panic but as a Christian he began to worship God and to thank Him for preserving the life of the captain. Still Henry was worried because he had lost over a million dollars. As he lay awake, the Holy Spirit whispered "Matthew 5:3 read the Message Translation" Henry opened it and read ' “You’re blessed when you’re at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule." Suddenly Henry had peace and he knew God will sort it out.

The next morning, the insurance company called Henry and told him they appreciated his bysjness with them over the years and they would pay him a million dollars because they realised he was good publicity for them.

Beloved are you at the end of yourself? Have you been running everywhere and calling everybody for help? God is waiting for you to settle down, he is waiting for you  to be still and know that He is God! Your first response to crisis should be to look inward and upward not pick your phone and start caliing people. Where your strength stops is where God's grace begins!
