Right from the time Esther was a little girl, she had the idea of the kind of marriage she wanted to have and when she met Adekunle who also agreed with her wedding dreams, she felt he was the right one.
She wanted a wedding on an island with everyone wearing white linen dresses without shoes on the beach and overlooking the water. It was a romantic wedding; newspapers and blogs talked about it endlessly for a whole year.
While the world was still buzzing, Esther realized she may have made a mistake regarding the choice of a spouse and 6 months into their wedding when he began sleeping with their house girl, she knew the marriage was over.
Ladies and gentlemen, I want to remind you that a wedding is just a day but marriage is for a lifetime.
I remember watching Toke Makinwa's blog a while back and she said she would rather date a nice man she met at the club than a Christian brother because brothers say things like "God told me to break up with you". She married her hunk but we can all do the math today.
There may be a few bad ones but you don't want to get married to nothing less than a Godly man, there should be no compromise, don't settle for less, it will be the best decision you ever made.
Whatever habits you see in a man right now will grow worse after marriage. If he is a man of prayer, he will pray more because of certain challenges that marriage brings and if he deals with stress by sleeping around, be sure that anything in skirt around you will have your husband's signature. Build on a foundation that lasts!
