Walk By The Spirit

Men are very sexual beings; men notice everything, the swaying hips, the plunging cleavage, the nice hair, the voice, the curvy shape, the sweet voice, a woman's carriage. Men were created with an appetite to appreciate women in all their varieties. 

There is a part of the bible that amuses me in 1 Kings 11:1 (NIV) King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh's daughter--Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians and Hittites.

How can one man love so many women that he had 700 wives and 300 concubines? 🙆🙆🙆 It shows something about the nature of man and that is his insatiable desire to fulfill the lust of the flesh!

The biggest challenge for many married or single men is staying faithful, it has become so bad that many women have given up, they believe it's impossible for a man to be faithful.

 Infidelity and adultery is one of the most common ways men are destroyed yet this virus is on the rise, somehow there are always women to feed the hunger. 

As a Christian, adultery and fornication is deadly. The bible is full of warnings like "So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth" (Malachi 2:15)

Adultery is linked to broken homes, poverty and death. 

How does a red blooded Christian handle lust and wandering eyes? There is a scripture that works for me and it's in Galatians 5:16 (NIV) 

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Whatever you feed will grow, you feed the flesh by eating food, watching Tv, reading blogs, listening to secular music and so on. You feed the Spirit when you fast, read your bible, pray, listen to worship songs, listen to your pastor preach, watch and listen to Christian blogs and spend time in God's presence. 

If you feed the flesh more than you feed the Spirit you cannot resist temptation! When you feed the Spirit,  there is a strength that comes on you that makes you preach to the girl you are planning to sleep with! 

I want you to do a self analysis; what have you been feeding? The Spirit or the flesh?
