For The Young and Hungry

Sir Kunle Thomas lay down on his king size bed with his eyes to the ceiling, it was a replica of the famous Michelangelo painting at the basilica, he had lived a full and beautiful life, he had seen it all, it seemed only like yesterday when he made up his mind that he would make a success of his life.  He raised up his hands to heaven and said "thank You Jesus". He just prayed that his sons would continue to build on what God had started through him.

As he was deep in thought his first son Olamide entered the room, the boy was smart and passionate, he just prayed that he wouldn't change.

"Sit down my son, let me teach you what young men need to know to be successful in life" Olamide sat down and his father began to teach him.

1. Fear God: there are many foolish young men who believe they can do it themselves, many have tried and they succeeded for a while, in the end they committed suicide and their wealth passed on to those who feared God, it's quite easy to be successful but if you want to be around for a long time, fear God and He will honor you.




2. A good name:  The most important currency a young man can have is a good name. What comes to mind when people mention your name? Have you been perceived as a man of integrity or a useless man? The bible says "a good name is more desirable than great riches" Proverbs 22:1. Don't go for money first, go for integrity, let people know you are a man of words, be loyal and dependable. That is the foundation for success, you can build ANYTHING on a good name.


3. Confidence: do you believe you are the son of the Most High God? How do you see yourself? You are not a mere mortal, you are a god on the earth. Psalm 82:6 says "you are gods, you are all sons of the Most High". You need to say that to yourself till you believe it. You are not on the earth to waste time, you are on assignment and you have angels working for you, the earth is your playground and your stage. When you believe these words, there is a way you will walk and talk, you will walk with an air, you will walk like a king. You cannot fail my son, you can only learn.


I need to take a nap now, I will continue later. Sir Thomas lay down and fell asleep.


If you have not given your life to Jesus say after me " Dear Jesus, I come to You today, I believe You died on the cross and on the 3rd day You rose from the dead and You are now seated at the right hand of the Father. I accept You as my Lord and Savior and I ask that You will dwell in me from now on.
