It was thanksgiving Sunday and Seyi had just got this beautiful agbada and a gold cap. When he put the clothes on, he loved what he saw and everyone in church complimented his slim fit agbada.
When Seyi entered church, he kept his gold cap on, as far as he was concerned, this is the 21st century, all of the things Apostle Paul was talking about men not wearing caps or hats in church was old school talk, he was a well travelled cosmopolitan Christian, old school religion was not his thing.
There is a growing trend among young Christians today. They wear their caps inside church! Someone may say "Wale I can't believe you are saying this, you are so old school
😏
!" Call me old school but this is an issue of HONOR for God!
The bible says in 1 Corinthians 11:7 (NLT) 7A man should not wear anything on his head when worshiping, for man is made in God’s image and reflects God’s glory.
This is scripture, word for word! Where then do you get the nerve to disobey the scriptures so brazenly?!!! You call yourself a modern day Christian; do you know that in western culture, it is rude to wear a hat when addressing a lady or inside a house?
Your disrespect and insolence for the house of God leaves a bitter taste on my mouth. God is slow to anger but don't take him for granted! If the western culture you imitate do not wear hats in front of women and even inside a house talk less of church where do you get the effrontery to do so???
1 Samuel 2:30 (NLT) says But I will honor those who honor me, and I will despise those who think lightly of me.
Your attitude towards the house of God and the things of God will cause you pain! Be careful and may God help us all in Jesus name. Amen
My 20 year dream is to see the Gospel preached to a billion people through the social media. You too can be a social media evangelist, kindly share and repost this Gospel of Jesus Christ so that others can be blessed just like you have been blessed. Thank you for reading. Shalom
Abi. Even in the court, men remove their cap as a sign of respect.
