Be Conscious of the Anointing

"Delilah I need you to find out the source of Samson's strength, we have been spying on him for years, he is slim, he has no muscle, we have never seen him at the gym yet with his bare hands, he has killed over a thousand philistines, that power is from somewhere and we need you to tell us the source. We will give you a million dollars if you carry out this assignment successfully"
Delilah thought of Samson her husband, the man was truly remarkable and mysterious. She loved him but a million dollars was a lot of money, she needed to find out the source of his strength as soon as possible. She would cook his best meals and please him in any way he wanted and just before he slept off, she would ask him the source of his strength and each time he would lie to her.
She kept on asking him everyday, she would say "if you love me and trust me, you will tell me your secret, I am your wife" Samson finally told her that it was the seven braids on his head and if they were cut, he would lose his strength.
That night Delilah put on her sexiest lingerie and then she put Samson's head on her lap and sang to him till he slept off. When she was sure he was sound asleep, she got someone to shave his hair and called on the philistines to arrest Samson. When Samson saw the philistines, he thought he would rise up as before but this time around, he had no power then they captured Samson and pulled out his eyes.
Beloved, we are no longer in the days of Samson but there are certain things that stand out in this scripture;
 1. There is an anointing that comes on a man which may not be visible to the physical eyes but can produce mega results! Samson had no muscles, didn't go to the gym but he was the strongest man the world has ever known! At the end of his life, he collapsed the equivalent of a stadium that could hold 3000 men with his bare hands!
2. The anointing can depart: today, it's no longer 7 braids, it's violation of the tithe, pride, fornication and adultery, prayerlessness, ingratitude and so many other sins. Let's be conscious of the sins that pull us away from God. The bible says in Hebrews 12:1 ( NLT) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
May the anointing never depart from our lives in Jesus name.
