The Beauty of The Lord

"Wow did you write that? You are such an amazing writer?" Nelson had been hearing that for a long time but he didn't understand what was so special about him. He earned his living writing Christian literature, the more he wrote the more famous he became and in time he became confident in himself and his ability. Fame and success got into his head and he decided to branch out into writing scripts for Nollywood. The scripts were a disaster, the directors who gave him the script even asked for a refund. Nelson began to realize that it had nothing to do with him, it was sheer grace, it was God working in him.

There is a scripture I love so much and it's in Psalm 90:17 and it says "let the beauty of the Lord be upon us and establish the work of our hands for us, yes establish the work of our hands. 

When the beauty of the Lord is on you, people will love you and whatever you do. It doesn't matter what your past is! The beauty of the Lord is also the favor of God, it is the goodness of God, wherever you go you are singled out for favor and honor.

How do you attract the beauty of the Lord? You cannot work for it, it is a gift that God bestows. You will attract the beauty of God when you honor God with your life, when your thoughts, words, deeds are honorable to God then the beauty of the Lord will come on you. 

Psalm 24:3-4 says 3Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?

Who may stand in his holy place?

4The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,

who does not trust in an idol

or swear by a false god.^a

Righteousness is a gift from God you can't be righteous by your works but you can HONOR God. 

Beloved your thoughts, words and actions are important to God, honor him and He will honor you.
