It looks like Godly men settle down early. We celebrate Tessy and Ohimai as they get married on April 26, 2014. Ohimai is one man of God I have a lot of respect for. Ohimai Godwin Amaize popularly known as Mr. Fix Nigeria was the Special Assistant on Advocacy to Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi then Nigeria’s Minister of Youth Development. He served in that capacity till May 2012 when the Minister was moved to the Sports Ministry. He was retained with a new role as Special Assistant on Youth, School and Grassroots Sports to the Minister of Sports till March 2014 when the Minister left office.
Many young Christians are appointed as government officials and they backslide. Here is a man of God who has been in government from the age of 27, now he is 30 years old and his love for God waxes stronger. Ohimai recently opened the first Christian night club in Abuja known as The Underground. So whenever you want to have fun in Abuja, visit The Underground.
Tessy is a fashion designer and younger sister to Sunday Oliseh, one of Nigeria's finest footballers. She is the of Tesslo Concepts. She bagged a degree in Fashion Design from Middlesex University, United Kingdom. She worked with some top British fashion houses including, Gharandi Stock and Fashion Forum in Kent, UK, before setting up her own fashion house. In this interview culled from Encomium Magazine, Ohimai and Tessy shares on finding love and the attraction they have for each other. Enjoy…
It feels good. I give God all the glory. I also thank God for His unspeakable gift.
It was a divine direction. He saw what I made (clothes) for someone and asked who made it. So, the guy gave him my number, that was it.
He is very humble and the Bible says, humble yourself and God will lift you up.
For a while now. We met in 2011, though on business basis. We became friends and here we are now.
He proposed in a lovely city, somewhere very cosy and romantic in Edo State. In the middle of our chit chat, he just said he had a gift for me. He went to his luggage, brought out a gorgeous silver studded ring and asked me if I would marry him. He went on his knee to propose. I looked straight into his eyes and I said yes.
Tesslo Concept will still be running. We will establish more branches. Sure, Abuja automatically becomes our base.
Love is a beautiful thing. Without love, man is dark, hollow and empty. Finding love is finding happiness and completeness. Since I found Tessy, I stepped into a new realm of happiness and completeness.
I met Tessy in 2011 in the course of an official assignment while I was Special Assistant on Advocacy to the Minister of Youth Development, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, who is now the Minister of Sports. It happened when I asked my good friend, Tobi Sanni Daniel, business manager to Ice Prince to introduce me to whoever makes his clothes because he has this uniquely stylish dress sense that always stands him out. So, the introduction was done, Tessy came to take my measurement at Sheraton Hotel, Lagos, venue of the launching of You Win Business Plan competition for South West zone. That was where the spark was ignited and today, the rest is history.
I believe the attraction was more spiritual than physical. There was something irresistible about us that just clicked beyond our natural senses. There was no argument, no stress and no issues despite the challenge of distance because she is based in Lagos and I am in Abuja. Since we met, there has been this feeling of peace, happiness and rest that I enjoy. The type I believe you find only in a woman that is God fearing, loving, hard working, resourceful and dependable. Clearly, Tessy is the woman designed for me and me alone and I am happy I was wise enough to realize that early.
What I cherish most about Tessy is her love for the things of God. When you have a wife who loves and fears God, you can go to sleep knowing that your home is in safe hands.
