Honor The Presence of God

James was chatting with his friend on BBM when his boss came in, he immediately dropped the phone and stood up, his phone began to ring but he quickly put it on silent, it would be disrespectful to answer calls in the presence of his boss.

His boss gave him some instructions and left then he picked his phone and returned the call. He said to his friend who called him "sorry I was with my boss, I can't pick my phone"

Beloved whenever you are in the presence of God either in church or during your private prayer time, you are in the presence of God, you are in the presence of the King of Kings and the Most High God! If you show so much honor to your boss that you don't pick calls in his presence why then do you pick your calls or chat with friends when you are in church or during prayer?

Jeremiah 33:3 (ESV) says Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

This means that whenever you say "Father in the name of Jesus" God is attentive to your prayers and you automatically switch from wherever you are to His presence!

Imagine being in the presence of President Buhari and you are talking to him then your phone rings and you say "Mr. President give me a minute". That would be so rude and dishonorable! The same goes for the presence of God, you must be conscious that you are in God's presence and that you have His full attention. This realization will change your attitude and the way you worship God.

Your Salary Is Not Your Source

"You know this our job doesn't provide accommodation so I will find one tiny house in Jikwoyi, that's what my salary can afford" Samuel looked at Emeka and smiled "Me I am not going to live at Jikwoyi, I will find the nicest 3 bedroom around Wuse 2 or Asokoro and rent it".

Emeka looked at Samuel as though he was insane and said "where are you going to get money to rent that kind of apartment?" Samuel laughed and said "God will provide".

Two months later, Emeka moved to Jikwoyi while Samuel got a beautiful apartment at Asokoro.

These are 2 men working in the same organization, earning the same salary but different results. What is the difference between these two? One decided to use his faith while the other decided to base the quality of his life based on what he earns.

If the son of Dangote was to be working in an organization that pays N50,000 a month would the quality of his life be that amount? Would he walk to work and live in a miserable apartment because of the amount he is paid? Your guess is as good as mine; the answer is NO! Why not? Because he has a father who is rich! So whatever the job cannot provide, he simply goes to his father and says "daddy my salary is 50k but I need a house and a car including additional money to supplement my income" would his father say "live your life based on your salary?" No! He would provide everything the job cannot provide because he is a son!

The bible says in 1 John 3:1a (KJV) 

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God:

You are a son of the Most High God! Whatever man does not give you, God can give you! God is your Source, every other channel of income is a pipeline don't ever forget that!

Whenever you live your life based on your salary, you have shortchanged yourself. The bible says in Romans 1:17b (ESV) "The righteous shall live by faith.” You are alive because you breath, the bible says the way for the righteous to stay alive is by faith! To constantly aim for God's best not what your salary or your efforts can provide! God wants us to function at his frequency not at the frequency of our pocket or bank account!

Refuse to live your life based on the dictates of the circumstances around you, trust God for big and impossible things and He will make it happen for you.

You Were Born To Create Wealth

"Mr Eugene, due to the economic crisis in the world, we are sorry that we will have to terminate your contract"

Eugene was downcast, he had a lot of bills to pay; school fees, house rent and many more, how was he going to survive?

Eugene got home and told his wife he had lost his job, she hugged him and encouraged him; "God will take care of us" she said.

Eugene began to think of what he could do, there was only one thing he enjoyed doing, he was a portrait artist, his portraits were so good they looked like photographs but he didn't know how he would convert it to money.

Eugene was praying when God told him to paint the portrait of all governors in the 36 states of Nigeria and upload them on Facebook. Eugene got to work and it took him 2 months then he uploaded the pictures. Eugene was not prepared for what happened next, Linda Ikeji was the first to post the pictures on her blog and from there it went viral. Eugene made a fortune from the pictures and since then he has been booked from year to year, he is the most sought after portrait artist in Nigeria today.

The bible says in Deuteronomy 8:18a You shall remember the Lord your God for it is He who gives you the power to get wealth.

There is such a thing as an ability or power to create wealth. There is a wealth that you are supposed to create based on the things God has placed inside of you. Mark Zuckerberg created his own wealth when he started Facebook. The desire of God for your life is to start something that will change your world and those of the people around you.

There is something that God has put in you that people are willing to pay for, ask God to reveal the treasures He has placed in you, you are more valuable than you think, you are more important than you realize. You are a light in a tunnel, you are water to thirsty souls. Ask God to reveal your true identity, may we all fulfill purpose in Jesus name.

God Hates Ingratitude

"How much is this you are giving me? Is this how much your mates give their wives?" Segun looked angrily at his wife " I gave you 100,000 just last week and you are still complaining?"

Segun was disgusted and he picked up his car keys and left the house to cool off, ingratitude was very distasteful to him.

Ladies and gentlemen, if men who cannot really do much for you get angry when you are ungrateful how do you expect God to feel? Some people wake up in the morning and all they can think of is all the wrong things going on in their life and in the world so they wake up with a frown on their face. Your attitude is disgusting to God! If you also observe those people, they don't do well or end well.

God wants you to be grateful for everything; for breath, for food in your stomach, for blood in your veins, for the ability to sleep and wake up, for your eyes, for your legs, for your skin, for the grace to pee and poo, some need a medical procedure to be able to do these simple things! Be grateful!

Hebrews 13;15 ( ESV) Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.

Acknowledge the goodness of God in your life and you will see more.

Honor That Man

"Good afternoon sir, I think you should break for lunch, you have been working nonstop since 6am, I made fried rice and chicken, pounded yam and egusi and I also made some fruit salad whichever one you want is fine"

Marcus looked at Julia his secretary, she was 26 and the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and very stylish too. He was a powerful man, the CEO of one of the top 10 companies in Africa and this woman knew how to make him feel powerful. His wife Janice didn't care any longer, all she did these days was to travel and scout for the latest Gucci bags, she didn't care about him any longer.

"Come here" Marcus said to Julia, he held her waist and felt her shudder a bit then he kissed her, she seemed to melt in his hands. Marcus stopped going home after that, their children were away in schools abroad and it took Janice 3 months to realize what happened. Julia was already pregnant by that time and Janice decided to file for divorce, Julia is now the madam of the house while Janice is the former wife.

God hates divorce but the bible also says in Proverbs 14:1 (NLT) A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.

As a wife, you play a major role in deciding whether your marriage works or not, that's why you must pay attention! You stayed with this man when he had nothing and you built this beautiful life together then money came and suddenly you are having fun all over the world and abandoning your husband to the care of maids and secretaries? Don't take that man for granted!

If you are married to a powerful man, please make him feel powerful, that was the sin Vashti committed, she forgot how she became a queen, she became too familiar with her king! No woman should make your husband feel more special than you! That's why he married you!

What were those little things you used to do for him when you first got married? Maybe you used to serve him with the best plates in the house but now you use any plate you can find. Let honor for your husband be a constant factor in all you do. May God help us all in Jesus name.

Your Desires Will Come True

Eunice saw a scripture in Proverbs 10:24 (MSG) that says; The nightmares of the wicked come true;

what the good people desire, they get.

Eunice was excited, she was looking to get married soon although she did not even have a boyfriend at the moment, she wanted a particular kind of man. She wanted a gentleman who loved God with all his heart, a man who schooled in one of the Ivy League schools preferably Harvard or Yale, she also wanted him to be good looking and well dressed with a sense of humor and he must be at least 6 feet tall and should also love to sing and dance.

Eunice looked at her list and smiled, she didn't even know if that kind of man existed but the bible had said that she could have what she desired and she believed what the Word said. Eunice would thank God for her dream man everyday and night and she kept on doing this for 6 months.

It was the laughter that caught her attention, he was mimicking a friend and everyone was laughing hysterically, there was George; the man she had been thanking God for, she had not even said a word to him but she knew he was the one and when George saw her, he left his friends, took her hand in his and stared into her eyes then he said in his Nigerian American accent "will you marry me?"

Eunice felt she was going to faint, everything was happening too fast, this guy knew how to make her blush. They got talking;George was everything on Eunice' list and 10 months later, they were married.

Beloved don't treat your desires as unrealistic dreams, the bible says you can have WHATEVER you desire! What is it that you crave? A job, a car, a house, a partner, a business deal, a vacation, good health, losing weight, pimples free skin, new clothes name it! God says you can have it! 

The words of the bible are God's highest thoughts, believe what God says and thank Him for it then watch God bring it to pass.

Go For The Blessing!

"oh, NEPA!" (swears under his breath) Lanre realized that he needed a generator, the electricity in this area was really bad. The next day, Lanre bought a generator and from then on he was never worried whether NEPA brought electricity or not.

The bible says in Proverbs 10:22 (NIV) 

The blessing of the LORD brings wealth, without painful toil for it.

Many people are looking for miracles when they ought to go for the blessing! When you have the blessing of God flowing over your life, you become a dispenser of grace, favour, 

wealth, health and many more.

Just like Lanre doesn't have to bother about the power grid before he has electricity, the blessing makes you immune and above any economic crisis that may be going on around you. The people around you; friends, family, colleagues and so on may be experiencing lack or challenges but you will never understand what they are talking about because the blessing guarantees overflow!

People prefer miracles to the blessing because it requires that you live a godly life and it requires consistency. I tell you of a fact that you have nothing compared to what can be yours if you activate the blessing and live a life sold out to God.

Your delay to discipline your flesh is costing you destiny and a life of purpose that is supposed to be lived at full potential. Don't wait any longer, ask God to help you. It will be the smartest decision of your life.

It Doesn't Take Time, It Takes God

"Good morning, I want to make enquiries on the price for the 2015 CLA and the GLA". Andrew beamed as he talked to the sales rep for Mercedes Benz, he didn't have the money for 2 brand new Mercedes Benz but he was believing God for them. The sales rep smiled back and said "thank you for your interest sir, the CLA and the GLA 2015 cost 15 Million Naira each, the two will cost you 30 Million Naira including comprehensive insurance".

Andrew couldn't believe his ears, 30 MILLION NAIRA, WHAT!!! He composed himself and said "thank you, you will hear from me". Andrew was a man of faith and this one was a whole new level for him. He got home and he was reading his bible when a scripture suddenly jumped at him; Psalm 147:11 (NKJV) The Lord takes pleasure in those who fear Him and those who hope in His mercy.

He began to meditate on this scripture and he understood that God is delighted and excited when we come to a place where we recognize that He is the only one who can do what we desire because it will give glory to His name.

Andrew also got the instruction to buy a full tank in the car of anyone who got a miracle car. He would sow seeds and thank God in advance for the cars.

Andrew heard about a car fair happening in Abuja where all car manufacturers would come and display their cars. Andrew told his wife and both of them attended. They got to the stand for Mercedes Benz and he was taking pictures of his wife posing against the cars when a white man approached them and he said " I zee zat you like German Mercedes Benz, we want Africa to know zat Mercedes is for everybody not just zee super rich, we want you and your Frau to take 2 new Mercedes and we will use you as models"

Andrew and his wife could not believe their ears, they handed them the two cars and they drove home. Every morning for one month, Andrew and his wife would wake up around 4 am and go to the parking lot just to be sure they were not dreaming.

Beloved, one of my mentors say "it doesn't take time, it takes God!" Stop analyzing things based on money! Faith is the currency of heaven, your faith will produce ANYTHING you desire. The password to a life of extraordinary results is FAITH, SEEDS, CONFESSIONS AND THANKSGIVING! May God give you mind blowing results before this year is over in Jesus name.

You Are God's Showpiece

"I haven't met Ruby's father before but he must be a very rich man sha, that babe changes her car every year and its always a brand new Mercedes , she doesn't talk much but through her clothes and the way she behaves, you can tell that her father has money"

Two students were discussing about the girls in their class and the topic switched to this particular girl, she was the quiet type and she didn't talk much and people were trying to figure her out by the things they could see around her.

Beloved, it is the same way with God, nobody has never seen God but when you look at the moon, the stars, the sun, the birds, the fish in the sea, when you look at your hair and the blood in your veins and the breath in your nostrils, you can tell for a fact that God loves beauty, He is organized, He is thoughtful, He is rich and flamboyant, He is a master craftsman and so on, the list is endless.

The bible says in 1 Peter 2;9 but you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own SPECIAL people that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

What this means is that when people want to know what God is like, all they have to do is look at you! If they want to know if God is wealthy, all they have to do is take a look at your life! If they want to know if God cares about good health, all they have to do is to confirm that you have not been in the hospital in 5 years, if they want to know if God fights your battles, all they have to do is to see how God made all your enemies fall before you!

You are God's mannequin; when a boutique wants to show off new clothes they put it on a mannequin in a show glass where everybody can see it, that's what you are to God, you are His showpiece!

I pray for you this morning that before this year is over, God will do things in your life that will show the world that He is the only God!

Pay Attention To Personal Grooming

"Who is the prisoner called Joseph?" Joseph looked around and hesitated then he raised up his hands "I am the one sir". The guard looked at him from head to toe and was surprised, the man was a Jew, what would the most powerful man in the world want to do with a Jewish prisoner. " Come quickly, the Pharaoh commands that you appear before him at once"

Joseph had dreamt about this moment all his life and it had come! He had the solution to Pharaoh's problem because Yahweh had revealed it to him in a dream. He looked at his clothes and he touched his beards then he said "please I need a change of clothes and I need to shave my beard". The guard wanted to get angry but he didn't want to piss off someone whom the Pharaoh was interested in, he simply nodded.

Joseph appeared before Pharaoh and revealed his dream, the next thing that happened is the stuff of legend; a 30 year old Jewish prisoner became the most powerful man in Egypt!

Beloved I want you to take note of certain things; Joseph had the solution to Pharaoh's problem but he did not appear in the presence of Pharaoh until he looked presentable!

Little keys open big doors; pay attention to personal grooming, pay attention to your clothes, your hair, your breath. People see you before they hear what you have to say! You could have the solution to the world crisis but if you don't look presentable and smell presentable nobody will give you an audience!

If you have ever been in the presence of someone with mouth odor, you know you don't want them around you no matter how brilliant they may be.

A day of favour is worth a thousand days of labour, if favour is important to you, you will pay attention to how people see you. May we not chase favour away in Jesus name.
