Don't Deny Jesus

"Our organisation is liberal, we don't employ managers with strong religious beliefs. So Mr. Taiwo are you a born again Christian?" Taiwo hesitated, he really needed this job and then he said "No, I am not, I am also a liberal person".

The interviewers smiled and said "welcome on board, we would like you to resume as soon as possible".

Taiwo left the office and felt a deep sadness within his heart, he had denied Christ to get a job, he who was a head of department in church. He consoled himself with the belief that he would bring Christ to the organisation; he truly needed the job.

Three months into the job, the director called Taiwo into the office and spoke glowingly about his performance in the last 3 months. He told him that all members of the organization's management must belong to a caucus called the Illuminati otherwise, he would never move beyond his present position and he would lose his job. Taiwo looked right into the eyes of his director and told him that he was a born again Christian and would never join the Illuminati.

The next day, Taiwo got a letter informing him that he was fired. He really needed the job but as he left the office, he felt an unexplainable kind of peace, it was like cool air on a very sunny day and it wrapped him up like a cloak. Taiwo knew everything would be alright from now on.

Beloved, everything that works is connected! Don't be fooled by the clothes and cars and Queen's English, there is a spiritual side to everyone. If they are not involved directly, somebody is doing things on their behalf. Man was created to yearn for the supernatural. Most people who try to tell you that the bible is not true and make you look as if you are a fundamentalist belong to one cult or the other. They do all sorts of things to get ahead!

Nothing should ever make you deny Jesus, even if they say your office is liberal, let it be clear through your acts that you are a Christian. Remember that Jesus said in Matthew 10:33 (NLT) but everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.

That job, that relationship is not worth the price Jesus paid for you on the cross. As a matter of fact, any job or relationship that requires that you should deny Christ is not the right job, don't take it! I pray that Jesus will be Lord in every area of your life. Amen.

There is Money in the Presence of God

Julius was reading his bible one day when an idea hit him; Julius studied agriculture in school but he had not been able to get a job. Julius discovered that certain plants could grow in the desert and if these plants were transplanted, deserts all over the world could become green.

Julius had no idea how big his discovery was until he approached his uncle who was a permanent secretary in the ministry of agriculture. In 24 hours, Julius' life had changed, governments all over the world wanted him to come and work with them, he had become a celebrity.

Beloved, there is privileged information in the presence of God. Whenever you are praying and reading your bible, God is downloading major things into your life! Every idea I ever got came in the presence of God, it was either while praying, reading my bible or listening in church. There is money in the presence of God!

The bible says in Isaiah 45:3 (NLT) And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness--secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.

God wants to reveal money secrets to you, He wants to give you ideas that will bring the finances you have been praying about. God's presence is much more beneficial than the presence of President Obama or President Buhari. May God give us the grace to continually stay in His presence.

Dolu talks on Music and Love

I am sure all of us can remember Dolu's voice, she was the shy lady with the angelic voice who was first runner up at the just concluded Nigerian Idol. We hooked up with Dolu and she had some interesting things to discuss with us including wedding bells. Enjoy...

MTB: Congrats on finishing as the 1st runner up at the just concluded Nigerian Idol.What did you learn from the experience?

Dolu:  Thank you. I learnt a whole lot of things music-wise,  but most of all I learnt patience and perseverance. 

MTB: What does the future hold? Are you working on an album and signing to any record label? 

Dolu: I am grateful for the opportunity and platform I have been given so for the future, it's going to be great from here on because I can now ease into the music industry.  Yes I am working on my own album but before then I hope to release my single very soon.

MTB: Would you be a gospel artist or you are diversifying? 

Dolu: I am going to be doing inspirational music because I want to be able to reach out to every one, regardless of who you are or what your religion is.

MTB: I can see a ring? Who is the lucky dude and when did he propose? 

Dolu: Loooooool, oh Lord!!!! Well he's a friend and he proposed a few weeks after the competition. 

MTB: Are we hearing wedding bells anytime soon?

Dolu: Yes!!!! By the grace of God. 

MTB: Do you have any words of encouragement for upcoming artists? 

Dolu: For upcoming artists, I would appeal to them to remind true to the art. If your music is born out of true passion, the world will appreciate it, no matter how long it takes.

Acknowledge God's Goodness

"God, please have mercy on me and bless me, this suffering is too much, if you bless my business, I will give you the glory",

Bako was living under the bridge when he prayed this prayer, everything had gone wrong for him. He was deported from the United States, he lost everything he had ever owned, his wife left him and he may never see his children again.

Bako started a security firm shortly after and in 6 months, he had the largest and most successful security firm in Lagos State. The problem started when journalists came to interview him and they called him a self made man, he liked the sound of it so he didn't correct them that he was a God made man and not a self made man.

Bako began to get invites for seminars, interviews and lectures and everyone was impressed by his phenomenal rise in just 6 months. Bako never mentioned or gave glory to God in any of those interviews.

Few months later, a bank which Bako's security firm was managing had a robbery and lots of money was stolen. The management of the bank was so angry that they cancelled their contract with Bako's firm and also blacklisted him. From that moment on, no company wanted to do business with Bako. Suddenly, he was back to square one.

I am convinced that only fools believe that they are self made. Any wise man doing great things would tell you that they are God made. One of the most profound quotes I have read is from Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, the richest black woman in the world who describes herself as a God made billionaire: "As far as I’m concerned, wherever we get to in life is not because of what we have done, but because of what God has done through us. If God does not approve our success, we can never get there but can only try!

So, if you’re blessed with fame and fortune, remain thankful and do not become boastful because pride goes before a fall. I’m grateful to God for making me who I am, and the way I am. I always look back and remember that nothing is as a result of what I have done but for what He’s done through me.”

Are You doing well in business or at your job or in your marriage or your children are well behaved or you even have a nice stature while all your friends are fat, don't be a fool! Acknowledge God's goodness! When people compliment you, be quick to give all the glory to God because that is the truth! On your own you can do absolutely nothing! God helped you!

The bible says in Psalm 107:31 (KJV)

Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!

When it comes to praising and acknowledging the goodness of God in your life, do it shamelessly, anywhere, everywhere, on TV, in front of the president, in your office, amongst your friends who don't believe in God, everywhere! When you do that, you will qualify for greater blessings.

You are the Light of the World

Adamu was the most successful cattle rearer in his city. It did not matter if there was no water or grass, Adamu's cattle were always fat. He seemed to always know where to lead his cows and because of that, his cows were the most expensive, yet he had the most customers. In time, all the cattle rearers started giving Adamu their cattle to raise at a fee; nobody could compete with Adamu so they joined him. Adamu had a secret, he was a born again Christian and whenever his cattle gave birth, he would pick out the healthiest and most desirable cow and give it to his church. All his cattle rearer colleagues thought he was foolish but they could not deny his results.

As a child of God, certain things must cease and certain things must start happening in any environment you step in. If you are a manager, your staff should begin to prosper, if you are a business owner, all those who do business with you must be blessed, if you are a pastor, the experiences of your church members must be different. The anointing on your life as a believer is to touch lives and bring quality impact to the world. That was why Jesus said in Matthew 5:13-14 You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.

14“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

There is something in you that is needed in the world. You are a deliverer, you are to empower people, you are to inspire people, you are to lead by example!

I want you to take a minute and pray fervently. "Lord Jesus, let my light shine so that people will praise Your name because of me". Thank Him for answered prayers. The bible says in 1 John 5:14-15 (NLT) 14And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. 15And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

Be conscious from this moment of the things the Holy Spirit will start revealing to you, write them down and take action, your light will begin to shine.

It Can Only Get Better

Everyday I watch my baby as she makes attempts to crawl, she would crawl a bit and shuffle a bit. Very soon she would crawl perfectly and then she would walk and in time she would run.

Beloved, as a child of God, things can only get better for you. The bible says in Proverbs 4:18 (GWT) But the path of righteous people is like the light of dawn that becomes brighter and brighter until it reaches midday.

You have thousands in your account right now, get ready for millions! It will not be by your effort, it is simply the reward for obedience! Life in Christ is beautiful, it doesn't work like magic but if you stay with God, a day is coming when all your labours will be rewarded. It doesn't matter how good and fabulous your life is right now, God says this is the least you will ever be. Your destination is overflow, it is the place of more than enough. Don't relax, there is more to follow.

Don't Choose A Man with money over God!

Sally was the definition of young, stylish and successful, she had a good job, made enough money to travel for vacation 2-3 times a year and she was a power dresser. People began to notice how fabulous she always turned out and because of this, she was a hit on social media. She had celebrity status on Instagram with thousands of followers.

Sally was a good Christian but with her new found fame and status, she became more liberal in her views, she wanted to be acceptable to everyone so she adopted a lukewarm view to God and church.

When Sally turned 24, she started thinking seriously of settling down. The only guy that could maintain her celebrity status and give her the dream life was Gbenga , the challenge was that he was not a Christian, he belonged to another religion but he was truly a nice guy and a gentleman. Gbenga told her that she would have to convert to his religion but they would have the wedding in church and at Gbenga's place of worship to satisfy their parents.

Sally loved Gbenga and he could afford her lifestyle. To her those two qualities were more important than anything else. They had a carnival like wedding and it was the talk of the town.

The first 3 months was a fairy tale then Sally fell ill. She was in the hospital for 3 weeks and then she recovered. After a month, the sickness returned. This became the pattern for Sally, she was always in and out of hospitals, she never enjoyed her marriage. After sometime, Gbenga was frustrated and he decided to marry another wife. Sally was heartbroken and disappointed, she wanted to commit sucide. It was at that moment that she heard a voice "No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.(Matthew 6;24 NLT) You chose money over Me, if you had chosen Me, money would not have been your problem"

Sally began to cry and to confess her sins to Jesus and she was healed. All of Gbenga's family were surprised. What they did not tell Sally was that there was a generational curse operating in the family that makes the wives die before their husbands. Today, Sally is hale and hearty and she has a good relationship with the second wife.

The bible says in 2 Corinthians 6:14 (ESV) 

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

This word is for someone, stay with Jesus! Different laws apply in different places. You have no idea what you are getting into. Jesus can send you the EXACT kind of man you want. He knows your needs and He will cater for you, don't try to figure it out for yourself, your man will come!

Hebrews 10:36-39 says; 36You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37For,

“In just a little while,

he who is coming will come

and will not delay.”

38And,

“But my righteous one will live by faith.

And I take no pleasure

in the one who shrinks back.”

39But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.

Wait for God!

Favour is not fair!

Martins  looked at all the people at the job interview and he knew that he had no chance,  he could see his former boss and many people with doctorate degrees that he knew. He didn't understand why they even called him for the job interview,  all the people waiting to be interviewed were way more competent than him.

When it was his turn, he asked the Holy Spirit to speak through him, he also prayed for favour.  As he entered the room,  somebody cracked a joke and all the members of the interview panel started laughing, then suddenly one of them asked him what football team he belonged to and he said he was a Chelsea fan. The panelists got up and hugged him, all of them were Chelsea fans, they talked a bit about Mikel and some other players and then they asked him to leave. Two days later, Martins was given an appointment letter to resume as the regional director of the company.

One of the most profound scriptures I know is in 1 Kings 2:15 (NLT) He replied, "As you know, the kingdom was rightfully mine; all Israel wanted me to be the next king. But the tables were turned, and the kingdom went to my brother instead; for that is the way the LORD wanted it.

This was Adonijah talking,  he was Solomon's elder brother and David's eldest son. By every right,  he ought to have been king after his father David but favour is not fair! God decided to choose Solomon,  the son that came out of a scandal!  David saw Bathsheba, Solomon's mother bathing and he sent someone to call her, slept with her and got her pregnant even though she was married to Uriah one of his most loyal soldiers. He recalled Uriah and tried to make him go home so that he would probably sleep with his wife and frame the pregnancy.  When that did not work, David killed Uriah.

This was the history of Solomon, everything disqualified him from the throne but God chose him. It was Dr. Mike Murdock who said "one day of favour is worth a thousand years of labour". Favour can bring you money without working for it, favour can make people like you when they see your face.

If I were you, I would go for favour. Someone is asking,  how do I cultivate favour? There is one word that unlocks favour; HONOUR! Honour God by spending time in His presence,  live your life the way He wants you to live it by keeping His commandments and be kind to your neighbour.  The password for favour can be found in Luke 10:27 (NLT ) "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.' And, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

As you live a life of love, favour will come and it will shine all over you. May God shine His favour over us in Jesus name. Amen

Pride is Deadly!

Lucifer left the presence of Yahweh and as he walked the streets of gold, a thought began to form in his mind,  was he not the most anointed cherub? There was no angel that was as beautiful as he, Yahweh could not do without him, he was the most important angel in heaven. Lucifer said to himself;
‘I will ascend to heaven;
above the stars of God
I will set my throne on high;
I will sit on the mount of assembly
in the far reaches of the north;c
14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.’
15But you are brought down to Sheol,
to the far reaches of the pit.Isaiah 14:13-14 (ESV)

Yahweh who was all knowing read the thoughts of Lucifer and he commanded the angels to push Lucifer out of heaven. The most anointed cherub thus became Satan.

God decided to create another set of beings who would worship Him forever and man was created.

The deadliest of sins is pride! When you see a proud person, you can predict their end, they will eventually be humiliated, Satan is the father of all proud people that's why he was cast out of heaven.  God loves humble people but he hates the proud. James 4:6 (NLT) God opposes the proud but He gives grace to the humble. If God is opposing you because of pride,  I don't know who can defend you.

Beloved,  search your heart and ask God to help you remove every trace of pride from yiur heart. May God help us in Jesus name.  Amen

Its Your Season of Reward

Felix stared out of the balcony of his pent house suite at the Burj Arab 7 Star Hotel in Dubai and he began to pinch himself, he needed to be sure that he was not dreaming. Only a week earlier, he had to beg for 100 Naira to buy bread in the morning, a week later, he was in the most expensive suite of the most luxurious hotel in the world. Felix went back to his room, fell on the floor and began to cry and say "Thank You Jesus".

For 5 years, Felix had been an evangelist, he had been preaching the gospel to whoever cared to listen but it seemed the more he preached, the more things became unbearable for him. He lost his job as an accountant and then he decided to write a book on his idea of modern day accounting. No organisation was interested in the book and for five long years, he kept on preaching the gospel but life was so unbearable.

On his way to church one morning, a car splashed muddy water on his white shirt, he always reserved the shirt for Sundays and now he had no other shirt to wear to church. He went back home, change to a t-shirt and he began to cry "God, I hope you can see all I am going through, I love you Jesus and I will not quit no matter what comes my way". Felix dressed up and went back to church.

On Monday morning, Felix got a call; it was an international number. The person told him that one of the government officials in the United Arab Emirates read his book and convinced the government to adopt his strategy on modern day accounting and they would love for him to be in Dubai in less than 24 hours, a private jet was waiting for him at the airport and a car would pick him up. Everything he needed would be adequately provided. Felix thought it was a dream until he got to Dubai and he signed a $100 million contract. God had rewarded Felix' faithfulness after 5 years in a single day.

The bible says in Amos 9;13-15 (MSG)"Yes indeed, it won't be long now." God's Decree.

"Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won't be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once-and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I will make everything right again for my people Israel.

The month of September is your month of reward, God will restore to you in one day all your labours of many years. You may have been wondering if God still knows that you exist, in this month, God will show you His favour, men will just see you and like you. God will whisper to people to give you millions, it is your season of reward. Happy New month.
