You Can Resist Temptation

   "I need to break up with you" Dare looked at Bisi with concern in his eyes and then he held her waist and pulled her to himself. "You are not a Chris..." He put his lips on hers and kissed her passionately and before long, she lay exhausted on the bed next to Dare while he lit a cigarette.

This guy was all shades of wrong for her, she used to like bad boys; she loved their look and their confidence and how they never hesitated to say how they felt. She thought all of that was in the past until she met Dare, he brought out all of her weakness, she was not the same person, she was now a born again Christian leading people to Christ but this guy always took her back to her past.

 He had such a hold on her; it was the sex and the way he looked at her, he was always hot for her, no man ever made her feel this way but still, she knew Dare was wrong and it was just lust that would fade tomorrow. She tried leading him to Christ and bringing him to church but he wouldn't answer her. She needed help desperately and she couldn't talk to most of her Christian sisters because they would gossip about her and judge her. 

She put on her clothes and as she walked out, she said a prayer "Dear Jesus, I am weak to overcome this temptation but please help me, I am ashamed of what I am doing but wash me with Your blood and make me new, help me to resist temptation from now on, Amen"

Two days later, Dare started calling and every time the phone rang, her heart would skip a bit, he was all she could think of for 2 weeks but she recognized that there was a grace that stopped her from calling him or going to his house. After a while, the urges stopped and she was fine. 

A month later, she read a story in the papers about a man who fathered 10 children from 10 different women and he was being sued because he didn't cater for any of the children. When she saw the picture, she almost screamed, it was Dare. All she could do was thank God for saving her life.

A man may be all you are looking for; handsome, smart, well dressed, rich but there is one thing that truly counts; if a man doesn't fear God and takes the words of the bible seriously, run for your life, he is a time bomb! You may be hooked on him but the bible has said in 1 Corinthians 10:13 

( ESV) No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

You can walk away from that relationship! The bible says premarital sex is wrong, you can stop it! Stop doing things to please man because man will still fail you but if you are faithful to God, He will ensure men are faithful to you! No type of #sex or food can keep a man faithful! #Only the fear of God! Go for a man that loves God and you will never go wrong.
