What You Are Saying Is What You Are Experiencing

“My friend there is no money anywhere, change has happened,  I am going abroad,  anyhow I must travel,  there is no future in this country”
If you have ever met anyone who talks this way you will notice a couple of things 1. They will never have money as long as they are in Nigeria 2. When they eventually travel out of Nigeria they don’t come back very wealthy.
You may ask why this is so, I also want you to know that what I am about to explain to you is the difference between the rich and the poor.
1. God cannot bless you beyond what you say with your mouth : The moment you start saying there is no money and you are experiencing change, that will be your experience in life.  In my house,  nobody dare say there is no money,  anyone who does is in trouble with me because I understand that we create with our mouth. What you say is what you will see.

2. See success and money as your birth right: Poor people have a wrong mindset about money,  they believe they don’t deserve to have money that’s why when they see a successful person they look at him like a suspect,  they believe he must have done something wrong or corrupt to make money. It’s also sad that many Christians don’t really believe that God can give them money.

Successful people on the other hand are money as their birthright they believe it belongs to them and they deserve it.  Successful people are not afraid of numbers,  they are not afraid to believe they deserve to drive a 30 million Naira car or live in a billion Naira house.

Ladies and gentlemen,  whatever God will do in your life will start in your mind,  the things that have been holding you back is your mindset and the words of your mouth. Whatever happens in your mind will happen in time. Change what you say and how you think and your life will change.  The Bible says in Numbers 14:28 (NIV)
Tell them, 'As surely as I live, declares the LORD, I will do to you the very thing I heard you say:

The Miraculous is Linked To The Ridiculous

“Mr Luis,  we are sending home your children from school,  they haven’t paid their school fees and we will not allow them to take the exams” Luiis began to plead but the principal wouldn’t budge. Just as he dropped the phone another call entered,  it was from his landlord,  he had been given an ultimatum of one week to pay the house rent or he would be forced out of the apartment. The moment he dropped the phone a text message entered,  a business partner he was owing money was on his way to arrest him. Luis began to cry “Jesus I am in trouble, I need you to show up for me,  the world is caving in on me,  I need Your help”. Just then he heard a voice so clear as though the person was standing next to him and the voice said “dance”. It sounded crazy but Luis was desperate, he would do anything at that moment.
Luis put in a Frank Edwards CD and he began to dance, so much joy and peace filled his heart, he forgot about all his troubles and just danced before God.  Suddenly he got a text message, it was a bank alert for ten million Naira. Luis could not believe it,  he put on his clothes and rushed to his bank to check that he wasn’t dreaming,  it was real.
Luis immediately removed his tithe and made three transfers; one to the school, one to the landlord and the last to his business partner.  Luis began to scream “Thank You Jesus” in the bank,  they all thought he was crazy but he just couldn’t control himself,  Jesus had saved him from shame.

Ladies and gentlemen, If you forget anything about God,  don’t ever forget that the MIRACULOUS is linked to the RIDICULOUS!  God wanted to part the red sea,  He asked Moses to stretch out his rod and his hand,  God wanted to bring down the walls of Jericho which were so thick that there were roads in the walls,  God asked the children of Israel to shout! Jesus wanted to heal a man with no hands, He asked the man to stretch out his hand,  Jesus wanted to turn water to wine,  He asked the servants at the marriage feast to fill a bowl with water and serve it!

Beloved the sea doesn’t part because a man stretched out a rod (try it at bar beach or Jabi lake), walls don’t crumble because a group of people shouted,  hands don’t just pop out from a man with no hands,  water doesn’t turn to wine because you filled a bowl and served it!
These miracles happened because of INSTRUCTIONS!  What instruction has God given you recently that you have not obeyed? It may sound simple but your next level is tied to that instruction,  obey instantly!  He may tell you to sow a seed,  forgive someone,  spend time reading your Bible, whatever it is,  do it promptly!
Some may ask “how do I hear instructions from God?”. Don’t be eager to rush out after prayer, start prayer by praising God and end with praising God then wait for the Holy Spirit to talk to you,  prayer is a dialogue not a monologue,  you have said things to God,  wait quietly for him to talk back to you. Your life will not remain the same.

God Cares About Your Clothes

“You no de go church? “ Martins asked his friend Felix.  “ I no de go abeg,  I no get clothe wear,  I have been wearing the same trouser to church for 6 months.” Martins laughed and said “follow me to my house and I will change your wardrobe for you”. Martins gave Felix five suits,  five shoes, seven shurts and many other things.  Felix was so happy and surprised because Martins wasn’t earning a lot of money but he had lots of clothes. “My friend I know your salary how come you have so much clothes?”

Martins laughed and said “God cares about all the things you think He doesn’t bother about.  Did you know that the Lord God (Adonai which represents God The Owner of Everything that is,  God in all His weight and glory). This same name Adonai was the name that God used when He killed an animal and made clothes for Adam and Eve. Thus God was the first fashion designer in the Bible. (Genesis 3:21) The Bible did not say a cloth but clothes! Which means Adam and Eve  had more than one pair of clothes. Jesus also told us in Matthew 6:30  that if God clothes the grass why then do you think He won’t clothe you?  If you need clothes,  dash out the old ones and release your faith,  you will be shocked at what God will do.

Men, Oil That Grace

Johnson saw his niece Rita get down from a nice car driven by a good looking gentleman, she was all smiles as she approached her uncle “Good afternoon uncle how are you today? “ Johnson winked at his niece and said “I see the fine boy,  is he the one?”
“Uncle I don’t have time for men now o,  I have a lot to do, I want to get a job and face my career because I don’t want to be a liability to any man”
Many women have this mindset because of the economic challenges of the world we are living in but I tell  you that it doesn’t have to be like that.  I want to talk to the men this morning: your wife doesn’t have to work because she has to supplement the family income. She may work to build her career but let all the money she makes be hers.
As a matter of fact,  that your wife doesn’t work is an opportunity for God to bless you.  The Christian chain of authority says Christ is the head of the husband and the husband is the head of the wife,  IF YOU MEET YOUR WIFE’S NEEDS,  GOD WILL MEET YOUR NEEDS!
It is a spiritual principle,  if you are a smart man,  you will make sure your wife doesn’t lack anything that you can afford and God will bless you for it.  When you became a husband,  God put the grace of a provider on your life,  if you work that grace,  it will work!  Stop asking your wife to bring money to support the rent or school fees,  she can do it but if you understand grace,  you won’t even let her support you!  No matter how much she earns give her pocket money and money to make her hair (I will never let my wife use her own money to make her hair)you are oiling the grace on your life.

This morning as I listened to Love Songs To The Holy Spirit by Dr. Mike Murdock I felt the peace and love of God envelope me like a blanket.  As Dr. Mike Murdock sang “I want You,  I want You,  I need You,  I need You “

It dawned on me one more time that we can not do much or see much out of God without the Holy Spirit,  the secret of holy men of old who did mighty things was the  Holy Spirit,  they totally surrendered to Him and exploits began to happen.
Take for instance the life of Jesus, we all read about the angels that appeared to shepherds,  the wise men and heavenly hosts that announced the arrival of Jesus and then the next thing we heard about Him was when He was twelve years old and then for the next eighteen years,  nothing worthy of news happened. Then Jesus went to be baptised by John the Baptist and scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit descended as a dove. From that day,  Jesus went in the power of the Spirit and the world Is yet to recover from the impact Jesus had on the world in just three years!

Beloved your life can switch if you will embrace the mentorship of the Holy Spirit.  He is the Spirit of wisdom,  of power and of might.  The Holy Spirit is the answer to all the challenges you are facing.  Say a little prayer “Precious Holy Spirit,  I surrender to Your mentorship,  teach me to profit,  lead me in the way You want me to go,  teach Me to please You.  Thank You for answered prayers in Jesus name. If you said that prayer, the Holy Spirit will begin to discipline you,  He will ask you to read your Bible,  He will ask you to sow seeds,  you will be getting lots of instructions,  don’t argue just obey.  You should also get books about the Holy Spirit,  the more you know of Him,  the more exploits you can do for Christ.

You Can Decide Your Income

Mallam Isa wiped his brow,  his body was dripping with sweat under the hot sun but he had a smile on his face.  He looked at all the seeds that had been planted and he knew that when harvest season came, he would be a wealthy man. He began to dream of  what he would do with the money,  he decided that he would buy a Mercedes Benz and marry a new wife,  he pondered on it a bit and decided against marrying another woman,  his wife could be a crazy woman,  he didn’t want anything that would spoil his harvest.

The Bible says in Genesis 8:22 that as long as the earth remains,  seedtime and harvest will not cease. If you plant an orange seed you would get an orange tree, so if you want many orange trees, you would plant many orange trees!
The same thing applies to your finances!  The Bible says in Luke 6:38 “give and it will come back to you,  good measure,  pressed down shaken together and running over will God cause men to give  to you for the SAME measure you give out is the measure that will be given back to you.”
For instance,  If you give 100 Naira,  money will start coming back to you in 100 Naira,  if you give in millions,  millions will start coming back to you.  This is a spiritual and a physical law that no devil on earth and in heaven can destroy!
The antidote to poverty is not prayer,  it is to master and increase:
1. Your giving: Who do you give to?  Your tithe is non negotiable, if you are one of those who argue about the tithe you can’t be relevant for long,  the tithe is crucial because that is what protects your giving,  the Bible tells us that the devourer is rebuked on behalf of every tither.  I tell you that EVERYONE pays tithe,  it may be to the doctor or to robbers or lawyers but everyone pays!
Jesus says we should give to anyone who asks from us but we must give to the poor such as orphans, widows,  beggars  and also increase our offering in church.  Set a particular amount you give in church, it could be 200 Naira but HONOR God with it, let it be a clean note,  stop squeezing 20 Naira inside the offering envelope.

2. Your receiving: Many hard working people have not mastered receiving.  How do you respond to a gift,  a compliment or favor? This is crucial if you want those whom God has assigned to bless you to continue to show up.  There are DIVINE CASHIERS or HELPERS OF DESTINY that God will send your way but if you don’t know how to appreciate people you will miss it.  Abraham waited for a son for over 90 years and it’s amazing that when God wanted to answer his prayers,  it was Abraham’s hospitality to strangers that brought the promise to pass. How you treat people,  an opportunity,  favor is crucial.

If you master these two this month,  your life will change forever.

Expect God To Blow Your Mind

What is the biggest and most unbelievable dream in your heart? What Is that thing you long for but because of the price or the requirements you think it’s impossible. It could be a house,  a car,  a contract,  whatever it is ! God is saying to you in Ephesians 3:20
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.
In the month of June,  I need you to magnify God,  you must believe that God can do better than everything you ASK or THINK! Where your wildest dreams stops is where God’s possibilities starts! God is limitless and He is a God of overflowing abundance. Let that be your mindset in June.

God Will Finish What He Started

Imagine that you are being chased by Boko Haram,  they have chased you all over Lagos and you managed to escape to the bar beach. Just at the moment you were beginning to feel safe,  the terrorists arrived brandishing guns and knives,  you turned around to run but in front of you was the splashing waves of the bar beach and at your back was these merciless terrorists with a reputation for killing people.
That was exactly how the children of Israel felt,  in their case they had been slaves for 430 years,  they knew what the Egyptians were capable of,  just a few days ago,  God had brought them out of slavery with silver and gold but now these same enemies were close to killing them.

Why did God bring them out of Egypt if He knew He wouldn’t protect them from the Egyptians?
Many of us have been at that place where God did an amazing miracle in our lives and then suddenly things began to go funny.  It could be a business deal,  God provided the money to start and then you got halfway and you are in need of money but you can’t seem to get any!  If you had challenges from the beginning, you couId have retraced your steps, it could be your marriage,  things have been smooth for years and then suddenly a problem starts! If it had been so from courtship you wouldn’t have gotten married.

What do we do when we experience challenges in the middle of our journey,  what do we do when we experience storms in the middle of the sea,  you can’t go forward and you can’t go back!
There is only one thing to do and it is to trust God!  The Bible says in Philippians 1:6 (NIV)  being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
There are vital questions you should ask yourself:
1. Did Jesus start this miracle?
2. Has Jesus been faithful in the past?
3. Has Jesus ever delivered you from situations like this?
If your answer to these questions are YES!  The next thing to do is to spend time in the presence of God and let Him give you a solution. He will give you an instruction,  He could tell you to fast,  sow seeds or sing praises. Don’t ignore  the instruction no matter how ridiculous it seems.  Never forget that God uses the foolish things to confound the wise.  You are coming out,  your miracle is closer than expected. The devil will bring fear, you must know that fear is deadly!  Fear is simply faith in the devil so don’t give him that permission,  he needs your permission to mess your life up,  so when you fear,  you give him that the advantage.  Whenever a thought of fear comes to you,  quote and personalise 2 Timothy 1:7 God has not given me the spirit of fear but if power,  love and a sound mind.  Also tell the devil, “ I don’t know how God will do it but he brought me this far and He will finish what He started,  satan I resist you and bind you in Jesus name.

Hold On!

“See her,  she’s going to church again,  money you no get,  husband you no get,  what is the result of all this your church going? Look at me, I no carry God for head but I have everything I want,  many men want to marry me,  one of them just changed my car and got me a new apartment,  this Jesus thing is not working for you,  let me show you the way “
Nneka smiled at her sister Ella and headed for church,  she cried from her house to church,  those words spoken by Ella really got to her,  she began to  check if everything was fine with her and at that moment,  the Holy Spirit spoke Proverbs 23:17-18  to her “Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be zealous  in the fear of the LORD all the day long. For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
The Holy Spirit began to teach her to hold on to the dreams in her heart by faith and that they would all come to pass if she didn’t give up.
Nneka wiped her tears,  in 6 months,  God gave Nneka the man of her dreams,  her dream house,  dream car,  dream wedding,  everything she ever desired began to happen one after the other. Nneka finally saw the faithfulness of God.

Beloved God is saying to you this morning “don’t be weary in well doing,  your reward is closer now than ever before,  the darkest moment is just before morning,  hold on to My Word,  don’t let go. I will give You double for all your trouble,  let your heart hope in My words,  it won’t be long,  wait for it”

“Baby I am sorry it’s not what you think is” Linda stared at her husband  Felix “I caught you on top of a woman and you say it’s not what I think? “

Linda began to cry, where had she gone wrong?  She met her husband in church and they were devout Christians until his work posted him out of town, he would come home every weekend and after sometime it was every two weeks and then it became once a month.  Linda decided to pay her husband a surprise visit and what she saw almost made her faint, her husband was in bed with another woman. 

She turned around and made for her car but he came after her,  he began to apologise but none of what he was saying made sense,  she got into her car and left and as she drove home,  she began to ask God for the grace to forgive Felix,  she felt an unexplainable peace flood her mind. 

Felix changed and began to come home every weekend,  he even applied for a transfer back to Lagos where his family was based and when the transfer wasn’t forthcoming,  he decided to resign. He Had been working in the company for over 20 years,  his gratuity was over fifty million Naira.  

The moment he got the money,  Felix changed,  he started going on vacation without his wife and it took a serious fight before Felix decided to finish the house they had been building together for ten years. In less than a year,  Felix was broke again and he couldn’t explain what he did with the money. Family members decided to dig into the matter and they discovered that Felix had another family and the other woman was going to blackmail him if he didn’t buy her a house and give her money to start a business. 

Linda thought she was going to die,  she had known a stranger for over twenty years,  she made up her mind to leave him but anytime she wanted to pack her bags and leave, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7  would come to mind; 

4Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance 

“Jesus I can’t do this on my own please help me” Linda didn’t leave Felix,  she stood by him and took care of him.  Everyone thought she was crazy but she knew God wanted her to stay. Something began to happen,  God began to bless Linda’s business, in one year,  she made over a hundred million Naira and every year she became wealthier,  she became the bread winner of the family.

Ladies and gentlemen,  who has hurt you? It’s easy to do the obvious,  you can retaliate but if you walk in love,  God will bless you for it!  See any hurt against you as an opportunity to walk in love,  the rewards of walking in love are priceless!  You can’t do it on your own,  ask God to help you forgive and walk in love,  be the dispenser of God’s love on the earth.
