Numbers 12: 1-9 (NLT) While they were at Hazeroth, Miriam and Aaron
criticized Moses because he had married a Cushite woman. 2They said, “Has the
LORD spoken only through Moses? Hasn’t he spoken through us, too?” But the LORD
heard them. 3(Now Moses was very humble—more humble than any other person on
earth.)
4 So immediately the LORD called to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam and said, “Go out to the Tabernacle,a all three of you!” So the three of them went to the Tabernacle. 5Then the LORD descended in the pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the Tabernacle.b “Aaron and Miriam!” he called, and they stepped forward.6 And the LORD said to them, “Now listen to what I say:

“If there were prophets among you,I, the LORD, would reveal myself in
visions.I would speak to them in dreams.
7But not with my servant Moses.Of all my house, he is the one I trust.
8I speak to him face to face, clearly, and not in riddles!
He sees the LORD as he is.So why were you not afraid to criticize my
servant Moses?”
9The LORD was very angry with them, and he departed. 10As the cloud moved from above the Tabernacle, there stood Miriam, her skin as white as snow from leprosy.
Moses was described as the most humble man on the earth.
God knew that if he heard what his brother and sister were saying about him and
his wife, Moses would not have done anything. So God stepped in and punished
Miriam and Aaron began to apologise.
In the days of Moses, access to God was exclusive but
with Jesus we are in a better position than Moses, the bible tells us that we
are seated together with Jesus in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). If God
punished Miriam for criticising Moses, God will punish those who have lied
against you and done lots of things to make life miserable for you.
There's a key to letting God fight for you, it's
humility. God can defend you without you saying a word. Moses was not even
aware that they were talking at his back but God heard and fought for Moses.
Be rest assured that God is fighting your battles, God is
slapping all those that have said all sorts of nonsense about you.
God said He talks to Moses face to face, your
relationship with God matters, the closer you are, the more value He places on
you. Draw closer to God. Everything you will ever need is in His presence.
