I was once told by my mother that nothing compares to the pain of childbirth, nothing is more joyous than watching that child grow, yet nothing is as tormenting as the death or the disappearance of a child. We are all appalled by the kidnapping of 276 secondary school girls by Boko Haram. Mr. Abubakar Shekau who is the face of Boko Haram has come on air to boast to the world that he would sell our girls, stories abound of some of the girls being raped as many as 15 times in a day; recently a video of one of the girls being stoned to death was aired.
Ladies and Gentlemen, it is time once again to lend our voice to this cause, it is time to unite as one people to fight this evil that threatens the very existence of our country. Boko Haram like the Apartheid of South Africa and the Holocaust which killed six million Jews during the World War II is the desire of few demon possessed people who seek to trample on our fundamental human rights. To this like in times past, we say “NO!” We will stand and fight till our girls come back home, we will stand and fight till the filth called Boko Haram is annihilated, we will stand and fight till Sambisa forest is like Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we will stand and fight till nobody bears the name Shekau, we will stand and fight till terrorism is no longer associated with our great country. Lend your voice, put up a picture, tweet the hashtag, join the supporters, the time is now to #BringBackOurGirls
